
The Coaches...
Played collegiate basketball at Immaculata University in Pennsylvania (DIII). Finished her standout career with 1,050 points and 439 rebounds. She had a career 53.9 percent shooting average from the field, and she was 67.2% from the free throw line. She was chosen as the CSAC Player of the Week four times and to the Honor Roll six times throughout her career. Turgeon was the Colonial States Athletic Conference's nominee for the 2011 NCAA Woman of the Year award as voted on by the conference's administrators. Most notably, Chelsea was named a finalist for The Jostens Trophy, which recognizes outstanding basketball players who exemplify the Division III philosophy of the well-rounded student-athlete - athletic ability, but also their excellence in academics and campus and community service. A First Team All-CSAC player in both 2010 and 2011, was sixth in the conference in scoring average (16.3 ppg) and was second in field goal percentage (.53) during her final campaign. Turgeon was a D3Hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team selection after being chosen to the third team during the 2009-10 campaign. Chelsea’s coaching experience includes: assistant coach at St. Anastasia School 7-8th grade CYO Basketball, head coach for U9- U11 Chester County Wizards AAU organization, as well as assisting with practices at Immaculata University. Coach Turgeon is currently a Physical Therapist in Katy, TX.
