#55 Ayla Adams

Ayla Adams has been actively involved in the local basketball scene for more than ten years. Ayla made Varsity as a sophomore at Cinco Ranch High School, where her team advanced to the State Regional Finals. After transferring to Faith West Academy her Senior year, her team advanced to the State Finals, where she was named First Team All-Tournament, First Team All-State, and a TAPPS All-Star. During that same time period, her AAU Teams were competing on the National level in tournaments like Boo Williams, the Las Vegas Easter Classic, and the Adidas Nationals (which they won!) After receiving a scholarship offer to play for the Air Force Academy (DI), Coach Adams chose to continue her basketball career at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor (DIII), where she played power forward. Since graduation, Ayla has served as head coach with several AAU organizations. She also spent two years as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Faith West Academy before assuming the roles of Varsity First Assistant and Head JV at The Village School in Houston. Ayla has also been an instructor at several local basketball camps, and frequently referees in several Houston area leagues.
